There IS a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
This talk about birds, birding, and birders is an introduction to this hobby,
sport and occasionally all-consuming passion. We'll discuss the
definition of "birding," why birders do it, the sport and science of
birding, and some unusual and entertaining birding adventures.
Birders think winter vacations in Duluth and summer vacations in Tucson are
fantastic. Their all-time favorite vacation spot just might be New
Jersey. Find out why!
We'll show photos of birds and birdwatchers,
discuss the basics of birding, the correct way to use binoculars, and
our favorite field guides and birding spots. We bring books,
optics and other birding accessories to give your group a full
"hands-on" experience. We'll even tell you how to spot a
birder in the field at a hundred yards.
This is an ideal after-dinner or spouse/guest program. It's
informative, highly interactive, humorous, and a little strange.
Your group will come away with a better appreciation for the natural
world, and they may even have a new hobby. They'll love it. And
don't forget the Bonus Field Trip!
